Our Approach In The Milton Clinic

When you are in pain, the first thing you usually want is simple: to feel better. That matters to me too.

With more than 10 years of hands-on experience treating musculoskeletal pain, the first stage of my approach is often focused on reducing your symptoms and helping you move more comfortably. Depending on what I find during your assessment, this may include remedial and deep tissue work, dry needling, shockwave therapy, nerve-entrapment release techniques, movement advice and education.

But symptom relief is only one part of good pain treatment.

Once your pain has settled and we have a clearer picture of what is contributing to the problem, we can look at what may need to change to keep you moving forward. For many musculoskeletal conditions, this involves improving strength, stability, movement control and your ability to tolerate load.

I think of it as a collaborative process. Initially, I can do a lot of the work to help settle the painful or restricted areas. From there, the best longer-term results often come when we combine treatment with the right exercises and strength work for you.

The goal is not simply to chase symptoms. It is to help you feel better, understand the problem more clearly, and give your body the capacity it needs to move and function well.
